Getting to the pack builder
There are three ways to get to the pack builder.
OPTION 1: (Recommended for Dashboard users)
If you have a SwagUp account, you can login to access your SwagUp dashboard. Using your SwagUp dashboard ensures orders are tracked and are viewable in your order history for future reference.
Click Create new Product to start working on your next swag order.
Now you'll see three of the most common ways people use SwagUp:
Preset Packs — what you see is what you get.
You'll find our most popular items in packs that are ready to go. Our preset packs are based on what we've seen clients ask for, plus what they love to get.
Choose this if you just want a pack that works - no more time wasted on browsing swag.
Want to customize a preset pack? Just click Start with this Pack. You'll be taken to the pack builder with the preset packs items already in your cart. Then swap out, add, or remove items you don't want.
Swag Packs — build your company's custom swag pack from scratch.
Select this option to go to the pack builder. Our pack builder allows you to browse our catalog and add the items you like to your cart. You'll be able to select packaging, extras like insert cards and crinkle cut fill, and, of course, the swag!
If you already know how many packs you want, adjust the pricing calculator in the sidebar on the right. The default is 100, but you can order anywhere from 50 to 1000+ packs. Once you've updated the quantity, cost estimates for each swag item will be based on the quantity you chose.
Note: Quantity isn't the only factor that affects pricing. Some other factors that may influence pricing include the number of colors (the default is one) and how many times your logo shows up on your custom swag. This is based on the items you pick. Don't worry - your mockup and quote will give you a breakdown of the costs. If you need help, reach out to a Swag Expert!
Bulk Swag — skip the packaging and just get the items
If you don't want or need packaging to be part of the unboxing experience, or you just need the swag, you can get all the same items we offer in our swag pack builder through the bulk swag catalog.
From the homepage, click Get Started.
As before, you'll see three of the most common ways people use SwagUp:
Choose the option that fits your situation to continue. The pack builder is the middle option: Swag Pack.
If you don't need the packaging but still want to browse the catalog, select the right most option: Bulk Swag.
If you're elsewhere on our site, you can reach the pack builder by going to Products > Build A Pack
Using the pack builder
HOW IT WORKS
We offer 8-15 curated items per category (think notebooks & pens, backpacks, tech items, etc). The pack builder only shows you the swag people at companies like yours have truly loved.
After a specific swag item and don't see it on our catalog? Reach out! We're more than happy to help you source the swag that matches your company culture.
All pricing includes custom branding and any associated fees. No surprises here! The pack builder will give you a pricing estimate based on variables like quantity and color. Note that the default is 100 packs with a single color option. You can adjust the quantity for the pricing calculator in the right sidebar. The more packs you order, the lower the per item cost. Custom swag designs that feature more than one color will also be more costly than a single-color design.
Click on a swag item to see its details, including a description and additional images. You can also update the quantity of the item per pack. For example, want 3 pens in a pack instead of the default 1? Change the quantity to 3, then click Add to Pack.
When you have a pack you like, feel free to hit submit and request your free mockups! Our design team will create the mockups at no cost to you, so you can get an idea of what your swag pack might look like.
By submitting you are not commiting to an order. You'll get mockups within 24 hours. You can request changes, work with a Swag Expert for more help, or approve an order to send it to production. You won't be charged if you don't approve an order 🙂
Swag Pack FAQs
What’s the turnaround time for packs?
A: While we do have rush options available, we recommend planning for it take 2-3 weeks. If you need help, reach out to a Swag Expert about your in-hands date and we'll see what we can do.
What’s the minimum order?
A: Typically 50 packs. There are some items where we can go lower (25 units) — reach out to a Swag Expert for help!
Do you ship globally?
A: Yes! We have a distributed team ourselves so we get it. Since SwagUp started, we’ve shipped to over 100 countries; if you have an address, we'll ship it!
Do you offer warehousing and fulfillment?
A: Yes, for a flat $4 per pack, one time fee
Do you do items outside the ones shown in the pack builder?
A: Yes, our pack builder is meant to be curated but we have hundreds of more options
Can we send you our existing swag to include?
A: Yes! We accept 3rd party items. No need to throw out your old swag!
Do you have an API?
A: Yes, we have an Open API as well as a Zapier and Shopify App. We are building out more integrations as well
What happens after you hit submit?
After you've picked out items for your swag pack, fill out the form so we can give you a quote based on your swag selections. The form is our way of keeping track of the important details for your swag project, so don't be shy.
Here's what to ask yourself:
How many swag packs are you looking to get?
What's your budget per swag pack/person?
Do you need these by a certain date?
Any items we missed or comments you'd like to add?
We also recommend uploading your company logo so your mockups will feature your company logo on them. Feel free to submit more than one logo if you have a couple designs you'd like to see on the swag.
Acceptable file formats: .pdf, .png, .ai, .eps, .jpeg
After you hit submit, our design team will get you the mockups within 24 hours. From there, you can request changes based on the initial mockups.
If you like your mockups, approve the order to send it to production! Woot! 🚀
