How to Cancel a Shipment

Did you enter the address details incorrectly? Did a recipient recently leave your company and now you need to cancel a shipment? Did you create the shipment at the time of placing an order, and the recipient moved? SwagUp allows you to cancel a shipment briefly after set up.

In this article, we'll go over the step-by-step instructions on how and when you are able to cancel shipments.

Editing a shipment that's in pending production status

The only change that can be made to a shipment that does not yet have inventory available is to cancel the shipment. If you have shipments that are in "pending production" status, the only way to correct an address or change the product quantity or size information is to cancel the shipment and wait until inventory has been added to set up a new shipment with the modified details.

Editing a shipment that's in scheduled status

For shipments that are created from available inventory, the status will display as "scheduled". A button will appear next to "view details" that shows where to select "cancel shipment". Please note that there is a short window of time that allows cancellation. Once our warehouse team begins picking and packing the inventory requested, the "cancel shipment" button will be removed. Each shipment has a different length of time that allows cancellation, as it is dependent on the time the shipment is created, as well as our team's shipping volume.

Please note that once a shipment is created, we cannot guarantee a successful cancellation, so please check all shipping details and item selection when creating shipments.

1. Log into your SwagUp Dashboard

2. Click on the "Shipments" tab

3. Find the shipment you'd like to cancel and click on "Cancel shipment"

4. Confirm the cancellation by clicking on "Cancel Shipment"

*Inventory and shipping fees will be added back to your account
